XOPOS L2/L3 Switching stack is a software framework providing Layer 2 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, QoS, security, and management capabilities for a variety of networking equipment that needs managed Ethernet switching and IP routing.
XOPOS provides the Ethernet switching applications - from entry level, fixed-port fast Ethernet switches to module-based Gigabit stackable switches. The functional modules of the XOPOS of the switch software core is designed in such a way that to support Datacenter Bridging,DSLAM Applications, Industrial managed switching applications.
XOPOS is independent of the underlying switch chips. It can run on different platforms with high extensibility. The software architecture is designed to allow the protocol stack running on different platform from the driver and the switching hardware. This allows much more flexible usage models than traditional switches.
